Recently, I had the opportunity to speak with legendary UFO drummer Andy Parker. UFO‘s new CD, Seven Deadly, will be released on February 28 here in the United States, and a few days earlier in Europe. Click here to read my review of the new CD.
We caught up with Andy via telephone on January 19, 2012 at a fairly early hour of the morning for this West Coast DJ and columnist. Andy, though he wasn’t initially made aware the interview was happening, was quite gracious and gave us just over 30 minutes of his time. Enjoy as we talk about the new CD, upcoming tour plans, the Monsters of Rock cruise, line-up changes over the years, current status of bassist Pete Way, and much more. Forgive a couple mis-steps I make early on… Thankfully, Andy didn’t seem to notice, and we rolled right along.
