Rather comparing it to Shinedown at THEIR BEST!! Which is what I personally compare ever album to…that band/artist at their best!

That being said…taking “Amaryllis” for it’s own merits…my problem is two fold; WAY OVER PRODUCED…ALL OF IT!! There’s simply NO righteous indignation coming through here which I’ve come to expect and frankly LOVE from Shinedown! And to me it’s the same damn song, different words over and over 12 times!!

It’s sad to me that I had to get to the final 3 songs on the alumb to find ANY that stood out to me. “For My Sake” and “My Name (Wearing Me Out)” are the only two songs that showed any true passion to me!

Plain and simple: NOT Shinedown at their best! 7 out of 10 at most.
