I recall a lot of chicks from the Hollywood 80s scene as i worked for band lighting on road crews,and saw Roxxane Shiraz with Guns n Roses,she was not bimbo type,also recall infamous first wife of Skids Sebastian Bach,Kymille Messalina Lavina,Bachs legal wife of 86,not at that gig but i got to meet both chicks and if im not mistaken they knew each other,well the two girls seemed similar in personalities,they were clever,without a doubt both alpha dominant females than knew how to hide that,often appearing passive which they often were as well.The had class and both could intimidate anyone but never did,often just being aware of those who scuffed their naturally erotic personnas.They were like Lady Killers.

Oh my goodness you blew me away with your words you had me in shock.
I just want to say thank you so much on behalf of the band for playing two of our songs on your show tonight. Its fucking amazing is what it is! My favorite saying when something is going well for the band is Holybumfuckbatman!!
And tonight was a Holyfuckingbumfuckbatman. Thank you so much!

I am not comparing “Amaryllis” to “The Sound Of Madness”. Rather comparing it to Shinedown at THEIR BEST!! Which is what I personally compare ever album to…that band/artist at their best!

That being said…taking “Amaryllis” for it’s own merits…my problem is two fold; WAY OVER PRODUCED…ALL OF IT!! There’s simply NO righteous indignation coming through here which I’ve come to expect and frankly LOVE from Shinedown! And to me it’s the same damn song, different words over and over 12 times!!

It’s sad to me that I had to get to the final 3 songs on the alumb to find ANY that stood out to me. “For My Sake” and “My Name (Wearing Me Out)” are the only two songs that showed any true passion to me!

Plain and simple: NOT Shinedown at their best! 7 out of 10 at most.

I was JUST about to feature a couple tracks from this record when the servers went down last night. Will definitely play some Sunday. It’s not quite as good as Restless Breed, IMO, but definitely the best they’ve done SINCE that particular album. Definitely some good stuff.
