Halestorm‘s brilliant self-titled debut took the hard rock and metal world, well, by storm, upon its 2009 release. Since that time the band has been relentlessly touring the world with little down time– much to the joy and enduring patience of their loyal following. This winter the band released their Live In Philly CD to commemorate their never-ending tour and express thanks to their fans.
Now it’s spring and once again Halestorm can be found on the road, playing on the Avalanche tour with Stone Sour, Skillet, Theory of a Deadman and Art of Dying. After which the band swears they we enter the studio to lay down their sophomore album.
As much as fans have been delirious to see the quartet perform live, we’re all aching for more Halestorm material.
So once again, to tide the fans over until they release the next album, the band is offering up a thank you to their fans in the form of their new cover song EP, ReAnimate.
This fall the band posted a long list of potential cover tunes for this project and asked the fans to vote. The culmination of those votes along with the band’s own inspirations has become ReAnimate. And if you expected them to play it safe, guess again.
I am pleased to announce the release of our first ever Cover Ep which we have affectionately called “ReAnimate”.
This project has been a long time coming and features a collection of 6 songs that mirror our influences as a band and as fans of great music! Here’s the tracklist:
1. Slave To The Grind – SKID ROW
2. Bad Romance – LADY GAGA
3. Hunger Strike – TEMPLE OF THE DOG
4. Out Ta Get Me – GUNS ‘N’ ROSES
5. All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You – HEART
6. I Want You (She’s So Heavy) – THE BEATLESThis above all is a gift to You, our fans; a Thank you for being a part of our lives and holding the flag for us over the years!
Oh also, we are streaming Skid Row’s “Slave To The Grind” here!
We love you All! See you out on the road!
Love&Venom,
LZZY HALE
The band’s song choice reflect their love for varied artist inspiration. From Skid Row to Lady Gaga, Temple of The Dog, GnR, the Beatles and Heart, the band has managed to find an eclectic mix to share. As a fan myself, I’d have chosen a more classic Heart track, but then again I’m two decades older than the band is, so I’ll have to keep waiting to hear Lzzy sink her pipes into “Barracuda” or “Crazy On You”.
Be sure to pre-order your copy now. The EP is set for a March 22nd release date on Atlantic Records!
