This Christmas, Mojo Radio’s going to do something a little different. Yes, we’re all taking the day off…But, why have just the standard automation? We’re putting together a special holiday program which will run for 32 hours straight, starting Christmas Eve at 2:00 PM East/19:00 UTC and lasting until 10:00 PM East December 25/3:00 AM UTC December 26.
The shows will air in 2-hour blocks, and we’ll rotate which block airs first, second, third, and fourth. So, a total of eight hours of programming is planned to be rotated throughout the 32-hour time period. Though, more can be run and times can be adjusted if enough material comes in.
Here’s where you, the listeners, come in. We intend to have our DJ’s record holiday messages, introductions to favorite Christmas songs, and things of that nature. Our amazing Blind Funk will produce the program and put together the segments for us. If you, the Mojo listeners, have a favorite holiday song you’d like to intro, a Christmas memory to share, or simply a shout-out you’d like to give to a family member, friend, or anyone else special in your life, we’re looking for those as well. Then, just kick back starting on Christmas Eve, tune in, and keep it locked on Mojo during your holiday gatherings, while you’re hanging out on your own, or doing whatever you do.
Songs suggested can be serious, comical, religious, or secular. Anything goes.
To submit audio clips to be used on-air during the special, or for any questions, e-mail us, and we’ll get back to you. Please have audio clips as far as your shout-outs, holiday memories, song suggestions/intros, and such submitted to us by 9:00 PM East on Thursday, December 15.
We look forward to your participation in this event. Even if you don’t contribute to the preparation of the show, we definitely invite you to listen, and to spread the word.
Merry Christmas, and happy holidays from your friends at Mojo Radio!
