Straight Line Stitch Q&A ~ Alexis Brown Sheds Her Skin and Bares Her Soul

As Knoxville based metalcore outfit Straight Line Stitch prepares to release their newest studio album, “Fight of Our Lives,” this week, vocalist Alexis Brown took time to chat with Metalholic and Mojo Radio before the band’s Orlando show in Florida.

More than a year has passed since we last spoke, and much has changed for Alexis, the band, and the world, and Straight Line Stitch has put it all into the new album. Along the way guitarist Pat Pattison stepped down, and the band has carried on without him, intent on bringing their music to what Alexis calls “the most loyal fans on the planet.”

This week, the band’s label E1 released the track, “Conversion,” for fans to get a taste of the new record. You can instantly hear the development in the band’s sound. Alexis, along with band mates Jason White (bass), Seth Thank (guitar) and Kanky Lora (drums), have risen to the challenge of expanding and defining their sound on Fight of Our Lives.

Listen to “Conversion”:

I fully expect Fight of Our Lives to be the pivotal album that breaks Straight Line Stitch out to the masses. If you haven’t yet jumped on the train, now’s the time to get your ticket.
